The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, led by H.E. Miss Nipa Nirannoot, collaborated with the Thailand Foundation and Dubai Culture to host the “Roi Malai” (Thai Garland Making) Workshop. Held at the historic Al Shindagha Museum, this event beautifully aligned with the UAE’s 2026 theme, the “Year of Family,” fostering community spirit and cross-cultural bonds.
For the first time in history, a Thai artist participated in this prestigious festival. World-renowned floral artist Mr. Sakul Intakul led over 120 participants, including senior Dubai officials and the female consular corps, in creating contemporary Thai garlands. These individual pieces were woven into a stunning large-scale installation, symbolizing “Cultural Unity” through the delicate beauty of Thai craftsmanship.
The Thailand Foundation remains committed to promoting people-to-people connectivity through cultural exchange and traditional wisdom, fostering mutual understanding and strengthening Thai Soft Power on the global stage.
