On January 7, 2026, Ambassador Tharit Charungvat, Secretary-General of the Thailand Foundation, was invited as a guest speaker for a preparatory training session for nine Friends from Thailand (FFT) volunteers who will be on assignment abroad. The lecture on the topic “Promoting Thainess and Thailand’s Soft Power”, with the primary objective of this session, was to enhance the volunteers’ skills and knowledge in promoting Thailand’s positive image and fostering a deeper understanding of the country. The lecture covered key areas including Thai language and culture, the promotion of “Thai-ness” (Thai popularity), and Thailand’s public diplomacy initiatives. These insights aim to empower volunteers to effectively apply this knowledge during their missions abroad.
